TONIC

Still no tonic water in Thailand. I have now resorted to Gin and bitter lemon. Not the same but drinkable. I had to stop drinking beer as I was developing a beer gut. Believe me, it's not a good look on a woman. Send TONIC parcels please.

Free Trip

We have been on our first free trip. We went to the Animal Sanctuary and Kaeng Krachan Dam. We have been to the animal sanctuary before but it never ceases to amaze me the amount of exotic animals that people buy as pets then throw them out, monkeys bears elephants crocodiles and even a tiger. These Iguanas are new, it must be a new fad. They should really start with the norm ie cats and dogs and learn to look after them properly. This is how we have ended up feeding 5 cats.

Haircut

Yesterday I had a haircut. I took my glasses off so they wouldn't get in the way. When she was half way through she asked me if the back was ok. I told her I couldn't see. She laughed and said it was alright for me to put my glass eyes back. Oh dear.

Crab Fest Last Night

Another great evening until about 11.45 when the band left the stage in a great hurry, in the middle of a song I might add. The crowd also was beating a hasty retreat. Police everywhere. Our friends told us not to move, stay where we were. I wasn't going anyway, I was waiting for the band to come back. Apparently in amongst the dancers and drinkers was a moron waving a gun. Bad end to a really good night. I even managed the squat toilets without too much trouble, not bad after a bottle of rum.

Crab Festival

Well tonight was going to be the night. It's now 1pm and it is persisting down. Roads flooded all cats under our beds. If it carries on we won't be going. Still I am allergic to crab and the SQUAT toilets. They are difficult when sober, after a few drinks, well anything could happen.

Cha-am Crab Festival

No I haven't gone mad they really do have one. We went last night, it lasts for 10 days. The lady on stage was translating into English (well nearly). She told us that the only place to get crabs in Thailand is Cha-am, and very proud she was too. I've got bad news for her, you can get crabs anywhere in Thailand if you are not careful. We shall go on the last night for a few drinks.

Four Legged Spider

Chinese New Year

Very disappointing. We were told it all happens at Koh Takiab. Climbed millions of steps (well a good few anyway). It was worth it as the views are amazing. Jess and I were hoping for food, drink and dragon dancing. Dave, well he was hoping for some Karaoke. Nothing, only praying. Had to dress up to ring the bells for luck. We needed luck to get back down without breaking our necks.

Last Night

We went to a "posh" restaurant on Jess' last night, but who forgot to change her slippers. Is she becoming Thai, next she will be dining out in her pyjamas.

Cant Drive etc

They can't drive, can't ride a motorcycle or bicycle, and most can't even walk in a straight line. BUT they can grow designer apples.

Gone Home

Well Jess has now gone home so back to normal. Although she is back in April. Luckily she will be living in the next town so we may save some money.

Power

If you build yourself a house (shack) and you want power in it, you first have to build yourself an electricity pole (or something like it). Then, steal the power.
