Holy Day

Today was the holiest day in the Buddhist calender. We went to the local temple to watch the natives. They held offerings to Buddah and walked around the temple three times. We dont know why. But you lot have been spared because I was to embarassed to get my camera out.

And really finally

Please read this sign just in case you think of going to the Palace.

And lastly

We caught the cable car up to Phranakhonkhiri Palace. Where we saw the only two Thais that can really ride a motorbike.

Wat what is this Wat

We don't know we just came across it in a back street.

Wat Yaisuwansaram

This is just the next Temple on our way.

Petchburi

Today we caught the local bus to Petchburi for 30 baht. We made the mistake of taking out a map to see what temples we wanted to see. The ticket lady came to ask us "where you go". We told her we were just going to walk round to look at some temples. She then asked "what your first temple". We told her Wat Kampaenglaeeng. She left and went to see the driver. She then came back and told us the bus would detour to Wat Kampaenglaeeng to take us there. She then sat down and pointed out the other temples that were "beautiful". Much better and cheaper than a tour guide. Sorry Jonny.
PS next time you are on a bus ask the driver to take you to your door, let me know what he says.

Bangkok

Well Bangkok is peaceful, for now. The Red Shirts have dispersed taking with them The Black Shirts. But not before doing 130 Billion Bahts worth of damage. They will be back. The Yellow Shirts or the Multicoloured Shirts as they are now called may be protesting before them, it is their turn after all. I hope you are following this. Mr T sits in his Paris apartment sipping his Champagne while watching Bangkok burn. It was reported on tv he was shopping in Paris, I hope it was to buy more shirts (colour red various sizes) for his 'army' because they won't find any over here. Not many shops you see! The Government are now trying to get the tourists back. I don't think so, not this year at least. I would help them if they de-valued the Baht, 45 to the £ at the moment.

Budgie rustlers

Well the horrible Swede has gone from next door, only on holiday I guess. But at least now I won't have to watch him swanning about in his Budgie Rustlers all day.

Gas and Electricity

If anybody is thinking of changing their gas or electric supplier to Utility Warehouse don't. They are the biggest bunch of tossers ever. They are a bunch of absolute MORONS.

Astronomical phenomenon

Tonight we saw the conjuction of Venus with the moon, so Dave tells me. Understand? (The Sky at Night has a lot to answer for) Tried to take a picture but the BOX BROWNIE just wasn't good enough. Steve where are you when we need you? In a restaurant eating and drinking to much I guess.

Our new transport

Just look at what we bought today. Its not the Harley Davidson Dave wanted but it was all we could afford. He's now worried about his street cred. I don't think he needs to worry, after 6 weeks of cycling around Cha-am with a basket on his bike I think he lost it way back.

Sunday, 9 May 2010

Well after 5 weeks Dave has finally pulled, But first you must buy her breakfast.

Friday, 7 May 2010

We are now official members of the 3.46 club Radio2. Just had a mention on on national radio. I hope you were all listening.
Dave has now got 2 Thai driving licences one for a car the other for a bike. He had to do some tests, one was an eye test, but if you didn't pass they just moved you closer to the board. (Dave did pass I might add). The next one was pulling strings (literally pulling strings), it was depth perception test. The last one was a reaction test it had an acclerator pedal and a brake pedal, when you see the red light you have to press the brake. Do you know some Thais do not have any of these "skills", but they do have their driving licences now. I do hope I'm not crossing the road when they are driving.

Great result last night. Put the tv on and guess what was on, only Coronation Street. As an added bonus after that was Come Dine With Me. How much better can it get. So Nathan if you are reading this you can now come over knowing you will get your weekly fix of Corrie!!!

Check this out, do you know what it is. Its crisps on a stick. Very novel.

Saturday, 1 May 2010

We have just caught a bicycle thief trying to steal Daves bike. But its ok because he can't reach the pedals!

Our horrible Swedish neighbour has a new wife, she grazes outside our window each morning. Shes the cheapest wife so far.
