FLOOD

When I said "Oh God we need some water" I really meant drinking water not 2 feet of rain water in 1 hour.

SNAKE

What a hero. Well the ladies in the street think so. No we won't be feeding it. 3 cats and a share of a dog is quiet enough.

Crab Festival

Last night we went to the Crab Festival at Cha-am beach. On the table in front of us were 1 man 2 little girls and 5 women. I can assure you the only females sat there were the 2 little girls. Still time yet for them to decide. I couldn't take any pictures, I felt embarrassed. Maybe next time.

Back Home

After 2 weeks in very noisy China what do we find on our return. The man along to road has rented his house out to about 10 Chinese.
Back in the UK soon as we have to see a thieving b*****d out of our house. You know who you are.

Wenzhou

While we were in Wenzhou Jess thought it a good idea to go for a gentle walk. Before I realized we were at the foot of a mountain. It was NOT a gentle stroll but a torturous climb to the top. I guess it was worth it but I've done it now so I don't have to do it again. We were actually above the skyscrapers. Without oxygen.

Street entertainment part 1

They were not doing this for money. Just enjoying themselves I guess??

How to cross the road.

Find a crossing, close your eyes hands together in prayer and walk.

Life Savers

Two things kept me going in China, here's one as I can't use chopsticks. I thought you put them in your hair.

The other thing I'm embarrassed to say was Mac Donalds.

Thursday 5 September 2013

Would you.

I guess it doesn't matter when you are 477.69 meters up. 100 stories.

Tallest building

We went up the tallest building in Shanghai, it was a bit scary looking down through a glass floor. It was a bargain though, people over 60 (and no I am not) get in for 1/2 price. As they write the dates differently, and when they are born they are one, I thought I would try it so I passed my passport over and she gave me a half price ticket. Oh dear does that mean I look a lot older than I am?????? (I guess that's what 2 weeks in China does to you).

Good name for a restaurant

Takeaway anyone?

Food

I just couldn't bring myself to try this.

I want one of these

This is what every bike owner needs, a built-in umbrella.

SIGNS

Two signs found in our bathroom in Shanghai. If they do take over the world we will NEVER understand what they are talking about.

CHINA

Ok back from China, thank God. It was so noisy, everyone shouts. Everyone is on their mobiles. Everyone is in a hurry, pushing shoving no manners at all. The spitting is incredible. I got spat at by a lady of about 70. Dirty pig. Everybody stares as if westerners have two heads. I had to keep checking my nose. We did meet a few nice people, mostly Jess' friends who I guess are used to working with foreigners. We also got invited to a Hawaiian birthday party, couldn't dress up though no time to make anything, shame. A good night was had by all. The only good thing we found about China was they don't like to be tipped, taxis restaurants etc. What makes you think  I'm glad to be back in Thailand.

Ground Breaking

This morning we were up at 4.30 to go to a Ground Breaking Ceremony at our friends plot of land where he is having a house built. WHY so early in the morning I don't know. The holes were dug and we helped put in 2 pillars. Plenty of food and drink, for the "spirits" only. Buddhist prayers were said and then we left. Different.

Going back to bed now, goodnight.

Cruelty part 2

Well the mother is now missing. Hopefully the thief has seen a bit of sense and stolen her as well. Somehow I don't think so.

CHINA

OK Jess has now gone to China to work so next week we will be visiting her. Just for a bit of nagging you understand. Shanghai and Wenzhou. Hope to find lots of "interesting things". Should be fun. Back to blogging now, if I can find anything to blog about.

CRUELTY AT ITS FINEST

About a 10 days ago a Soi  dog had 5 puppies. Neighbours all fed the mother as she was so thin and feeding 5 puppies couldn't have been easy. Yesterday the puppies were stolen, they couldn't walk and their eyes were not yet open. Somebody saw a man from a cable company steal them. I guess he is going to try sell them at the market tonight. I hope the thieving B*****d has a road accident on the way. If the puppies survive long enough to be sold I hope he enjoys the blood money. He should come down our road and listen the mother crying, going mad because she can't find her pups. Hope he rots in HELL. Its difficult to believe someone could be so cruel for a few Baht.

DON'T DRINK THE WATER

I found this sign at Penang International Airport. It has to be the most unnecessary notice ever. Or perhaps not.

THINK ON

For all you vegetarians out there who won't eat anything with a face. (Yes Jess I mean you). Perhaps mushrooms will be off your menu too. Well I couldn't eat that smiley little face.

I Expected More

I did expect a little bit more from the New Years market.

Oh Dear

Spot the deliberate mistake. Or not so deliberate mistake.
